Mid-Carolina Physician Organization (MCPO) will consider offering participation/membership status in the MCPO network to physicians, physician groups, and other licensed healthcare professionals who:

• Represent medical or other healthcare specialties and subspecialties required to provide those healthcare service within MCPO's approved service area;
• Provide medical or other healthcare services in geographic locations accessible to MCPO patients within MCPO's approved service area;
• Have a record of, and reputation for, providing medical or other healthcare services in a cost-effective manner consistent with MCPO standards for quality care;
• Are professionally qualified, as measured by appropriate healthcare provider specialty Board Certification;
• Will accept new as well as existing patients who become members of MCPO practices
• Agree to participate in, cooperate fully, and comply with MCPO Utilization Management, Credentialing and Quality Management programs;
• Are recognized by professional colleagues and the community at large as providers of quality medical care and/or healthcare services; and
• Meet all MCPO credentialing requirements.
